"I Might Have Prejudged Him"

Mike Nifong, outside a polling station this morning:
There was one guy who came by with a lacrosse T-shirt. I didn't talk to him. I might have prejudged him.
Another mindboggling statement from Durham County's minister of justice.

Pointoflaw.com accurately phrases the question for the day:
Can prosecutors be made to pay a price at the ballot box for malfeasance? Durham, North Carolina, county district attorney Mike Nifong is up for re-election, and has run well in polls despite his hounding of three Duke lacrosse players -- perhaps the year's banner case of abusive prosecution.

I am continuely astounded by Nifong and his arrogance-- does he think this is just one big joke?

thanks for the update KC

Nifong is evil and appears to revel in his notoriety; Being seen is all he cares about, even as he faces destruction (getting reelected won't save him) "Made it Ma! Top of the world!" sic semper tyrannis

I've never heard of a case of a rogue prosecutor paying at the ballot box. Some have paid in other ways. The Nicholas Bissell case in New Jersey is a model of what Nifong's future should hold.

I received the following email in my box at work today:

"I'm sorry thay you feel inadequate . Is it because of of your fourth or fifth tier academic training and your placement at Fostburg State, wherever that is?"

While I doubt Liefong wrote that email, I find it interesting that people are taking the trouble to find my Frostburg State email address, as my articles are linked to my Prodigy address. And, my academic training was pretty good, thank you! Furthermore, I like it at the True FSU.

Let's hope Nifong has seen thousands of Lax t-shirts today. I can't think of a better ending to his ignominious career.

There is quite a lively debate going on this afternoon in the comment section of the "Group of 88" article in today's Chronicle. Alex Rosenburg specifically attacks KC. Several people promptly set the record straight. That Group of 88 and Nifong are unbelievably arrogant.

Sorry, I accidently spelled "Rosenberg" incorrectly in my above post.

Mike Nifong continues to attempt photo ops with Dukies.

Bob Harris rejected his overture at his polling place today, and has the best retort yet: "It's about honesty. You're not honest."

You go Bob!!

You have got to admire and love Bob Harris for that response. Nifong obviously knew who Mr. Harris was - what a jerk for approaching him at all, much less with a camera crew. What is this guy's problem? He seems determined to obtain a picture with someone with a Duke shirt/jacket on!

I guess Nifong hasn't figured out how to remove the shrinkwrap from his package of Photoshop without suffocating.
