Nifong Hearing Tomorrow

The hearing to formally remove Mike Nifong as DA is scheduled for 9.30am tomorrow. Will Nifong show up? Capt. Bill Wrenn of the Durham County Sheriff's Office gave WRAL the following scoop: "Mr. Nifong's wife informed one of my officers earlier in the day that Mike had taken his guitar and left, and she didn't have any idea when he'd return."

58 comments:

  1. A classic Gurney/Nifongism. May G*d bless his blighted, constricted little soul.

  2. JLS says...,

I am about the same age as Nifong, but unlike him I grew up. "Took his guitar and left," surely she said split. How 1970s.

  3. "A conscientious objector in the Vietnam War, he [Nifong] had boasted about a career of high ethics."

Probably harking back to those happier days when he was more than just a sh*t... those days when he was a chicken sh*t.

    ReplyDelete
  4. I'm surprised you managed to post that without the now almost mandatory "you can't make this sh*t up".

  5. Maybe he has taken up with Linwood's gospel singing group. Maybe they are practicing the song about barbecuing the billy goat.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Maybe he's gone over to Tara's
to sing her a sweet song.

  7. Highway Patrol: look out for a hitchhiker with a guitar on interstate 40 between here and California.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Perhaps he's headed to Rhode Island to ask the Attorney General for a job in the railroading department. He'd fit right in.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Seems like there's a danger of
    suicide, no joking.
    What would you do?

    ReplyDelete
  10. This calls for drastic action. Get his picture on a milk carton.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Yea, can you believe it? In Rhode Island, some guy got indicted because a woman claimed he raped her 32 years ago. Supposedly that woman didn't tell anyone at the time, repressed her memory, remembered it 32 years later, and viola-the guy who is married with children got indicted.
The guy says they never had sex-doesn't matter. Indicted just the same.

  12. I mean, maybe Nifong is heading to Rhode Island.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Send the Rhode Island prosecutor a link to KC's work or at least a picture of Nifong.

    ReplyDelete
  14. He'd better be able to play that guitar. If he can't, he'll think the Disciplinary Committee proceedings was a boy scout picnic compared to what the Music Police will subject him to.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I'm surprised nobody mentioned Rhode Island.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Don't worry about Mike, he's just out composing the "Crystal Gayle Disbarment Blues." I wouldn't be surprised if he started a new band with his buddy Linwood Wilson singing bass. They could call themselves the Duke DNA Duo.

It's a good thing I stopped saying "This couldn't get any stranger" six months ago because at this point we seem to be entering the Twilight Zone.

  17. Down by the Ole "Creep" Bank I guess.

  18. 9:39
    Or The Outer Limits.
    (That's a program named for the 88,
    for sure, except it should
    read "The Outed Limits.")

  19. WHERE'S WALDO??? LOLOL!!!

  20. Why do I feel like I'm witnessing
the end of Apocalypse Now, where
    two fat cows get slaughtered?
    (Kurtz being one of them.)

This has the same surreal feel...

  21. Nifong took his guitar and left? "I think I'm gonna cry."
Maybe that explains the long fingernails on his right hand that Debrah asked about. Woo-hoo! If he picks and doesn't just strum then longer nails are needed for the picking hand.
Wonder if Mikey is pickin' and grinnin' right now? He might be able to put out his guitar case in downtown Durham for tips as he's a pickin'.
Maybe Linwood will give him a backup job. That Mikey is a groovin' man, I tell ya.

  23. I agree with Mac. I think there's a real risk of suicide here. If his wife cared anything about him, she'd be filing a missing persons report. To not do so suggests she knows where he is.

    ReplyDelete
  24. gotta admire his moving right onto his next career - no moss grow'in on ole Mikey !

"to not do so suggests she knows
where he is"...or that she doesn't
care one way or another what happens to him.
    Possible.

    On a lighter note:

Mikey's gonna join "Tara and the Trolls"
for a rendition of "In The Court of the Crimson King,"
    (by King Crimson.)

    ReplyDelete
  26. Of course, this assumes there was actually a guitar in the case and not a passport, several thousand dollars is small, nonsequential bills, etc...

    ReplyDelete
  27. I sincerely hope he repents.
    Not Jimmy Swaggert-style.

    ReplyDelete
  28. With all due respect to all, Mac at 9:25 pm brought up a good point. If this isn't a suicide issue, maybe he is out of state and thinking long term about extradition or something. Is there a legal eagle in the house who could comment?

    ReplyDelete
  29. This is going to be a real set back for the guitar being America's musical instrument of choice. I have this mental picture of guitarists all across our great land, laying their axes down and opting for a piano or saxophone instead. Bleak musical times ahead indeed. Just one more thing to thank Mikey for, the ruination of an American art form. Couldn't just say he went out for a couple of rocks or a sugar cube, could you Mrs. Nifong?

    ReplyDelete
  30. Cogirl
To file a missing persons report in a city like Durham with its crime rate, It would get no response because she would have to possibly lie and say he was suicidal where he might not have been. Just a thought

    ReplyDelete
  31. Perhaps, Fried man knows where he is.

  32. On the other hand, the last few
    days - (as the principal
authors of the Hoax have begun to
turn on each other) - remind one
of Orcs in "The Lord of The Rings"
as the Orcs eat the ones who've fallen.

"Looks like meat's back on the
    menu, boys!"

    A grotesque spectacle.

    ReplyDelete
  33. KC,
You should delete all of these posts...disgusting.

    ReplyDelete
  34. yours, in particular

    ReplyDelete
  35. Thank you!
You a member of "Tara and the Trolls?"

  36. 10:20 and 10:22 -- No law requires you to monitor the board. Where is your guitar?

    ReplyDelete
  37. Hey, you wanna see something
    REEEEAAAALLLLLYYY scary?

Try sending 3 young men to the
    grinder for incarceration for
    a non-crime, repeated rape and
    other abuse.

    That's what's disgusting;
    that's what Nifong, Wilson and
Goatcheese had in mind. And the
    88. And MSM. And Tara.
    (And you, probably.)

    ReplyDelete
  38. nope...just a guy who senses that these blog comments have morphed from reasonable commentary into chicken shit attacks...so, mac, you want mike to put the gun to his mouth and pull the trigger? would you feel like a big guy? want his kids to watch? please quit while you are behind!

    ReplyDelete
  39. I meant:
    "...sending young men to
    the grinder for incarceration for
a non-crime, to be repeatedly raped
    and abused."

I was in a hurry to send the comment.

    That's ok, 10:22: you probably
still want to see the young men
    castrated, and a momentary pause
    won't change your mind.

    pause for you.
    Damn, you are confused.

    And you're so patient!
    Good boy.

    Roll over.

    Most people with NPD -
(assuming that Mikey's issue is NPD) -
    don't kill themselves.

  48. 10:28 Have to agree with you - Sad to see posters, who came here for justice involving themselves in attacks, Really bad Karma. To many are rolling in the slop with Nifong. Posters justifying their bad acts by using Nifong's bad acts is a sorry excuse. "well Nifong did .." is not a reason for men/ladies of principle. Quess KC knows what he is doing ending the blog soon.

  53. 10:44,
thanks...i love the great work that KC has done here, but the blog commentary has undermined his creds..he needs to shut this thing down and focus on his book...the crap that has been spewed here recently will be fodder for the "something must have happened" crowd...ciao

    ReplyDelete
  54. 10:49 - thanks for telling KC what to do, and why. Have you just arrived? Go back 6 months, read the comments. Did it affect KC's ability to write? Are you a gang of 88 member? Mike Nifong, checking in from the road? Or a faux Italian? Afterall, the something happened crowd will sure be swayed by comments, especially since facts didn't change their beady little minds. No back under the bridge with you...

  55. Nifong seems to me to be manic - the type of person that never gets depressed and is always optimistic. Like the good side of bipolar.

Imagine all of the people that he's put into worse positions than where he finds himself now. Did they all commit suicide?

    ReplyDelete
  56. Slop, like Apocalypse Now,
(as I mentioned); slop, like the
    grotesque scene (where the Orcs
eat one of their own); slop, like
the vision of three young men,
    raped repeatedly.

Is it so bad to see Goatcheese
and Nifong turn on each other, and
the rest of the cast and crew as
    well?
Is it so bad to compare them
to the "Court of the Crimson King?"

Ah, but then there's 10:35, asking
    something about my genitals?
And saying something about the students' genitals?
    That's gross!
You probably are the one holding
    up the castrate sign.

And most of us don't care what
    the "something happened" crowd says:
    they're beyond delusion.
