I wish I knew how to provide a copy of "Overlooking Brad Ross" to all the coaches, media and sponsors who will determine the ultimate winner.

  5. For the Blue Devils lacrosse team not to win their 1st NCAA championship in May, a lesser team will have to accomplish a major upset. Duke is the team to beat since they will be favored to win it all. Afterall, these guys were in the finals two of the last three years, 2005 and 2007. Guess what happened in 2006?

  11. I see from the Liestoppers front page that someone has attempted to destroy their blog.

A hacker has been found on the premises.

  14. This is terminally off topic but.. I just watched Michelle Obama give a speech in Indiana. Wow. Game Set Match. Ball over the fence.
Cosmic optimism is an authentic American trait and both the Obamas really get that down into their bones. I mean, our fore-parents would never have gone onto the leaky boats to try to get here in the first place if they were not a little unbalanced toward optimism.
The pity is, I doubt if the average Democratic Party operative understands this or why Obama is getting so many white votes.

  15. Sorry for the off-topic post.

Is "Social Text" a peer reviewed Journal, or not?

  16. Duke Blue Devils are seeded 1st in the upcoming NCAA Lacrosse Tournament, however they have an unlikely round one pairing versus a strong Loyola(Baltimore)team, which should have received a higher seed.

Colin Finnerty plays for Loyola. He will return to Duke and Durham with his team for the big game this weekend.
