"Politic$ of Grievance" Pricetag: $13K

This decision should come as no surprise, but nonetheless is appalling. The Chronicle: "Rather than engaging in an inclusive dialogue and drawing input from across campus on a sensitive issue, the administration seemingly capitulated to a set of demands without really explaining why."

At Duke, on "diversity" issues, no explanation is necessary.

There you go.....whine loudly, mis-use four dollar words when a quarter word will do, sound reaaalllly smart even though you can't spell, yell about freedom and equal rights (as long as the rights and freedoms you want don't extend to those with whom you disagree), and, be the right race.....and bingo....ya gotta a home at duke.
amazing to me that asian, hispanic, and (god forbid) white kids are even allowed on campus at duke.

Today's news, the Supreme Court of U.S. stated that a witness who have lied in the grand jury do have absolute immunity.

Lucky for Mark Gottlieb and Ben Himan.

What do you think, Prof. Johnson?

A bit off the subject, but I believe nonetheless relevant: Of all the false convictions that have been uncovered in, say, the last 30 to 50 years, what percentage were for which major crime?

Specifically, what proportion were rape convictions? Has anybody researched this issue?

Liberals never have to apoligize:
The report states that George Zimmerman's gun "was placed into evidence" and not returned to him, and the scene of the shooting was secured with crime scene tape. This directly conflicts with statements made by civil rights activists, including Rev. Jesse Jackson, who had claimed the Sanford, Fla., police department "didn't even bother to put yellow tape around the murder scene when he died—that's how much the police did to find out what happened to this young boy."

This is on the level with "something happened".
