Baker/Chalmers Report Due Tomorrow

ABC-11's Tamara Gibbs is reporting that the once-delayed Baker/Chalmers report into the breakdowns of the Durham Police is due out tomorrow. It should, at the very least, make for interesting reading.

I think Mr. Brown meant sordid affair. Or, perhaps, he is hoping that the sordid affair will get sorted out...

Carolyn says:

The delay must have been from trying to find Chalmers - Durham's version of Waldo.

I think it will remind us all of that song Jim Croce used to sing with his wife.

"Spin, Spin, Spin, spin around, Spin around."

Seriously, if no one gets fired, it will be a disgrace to justice.

It will be inteessting to see if they realize that the national spotlight is on them or if they go for the "business as usual" we can do as we please, this is Durham approach.
My guess is it will be infuriating 8th grade level double talk.

There's no doubt it will be another Durham government white wash. And it's not likely any of these miscreants is going to be voted out of office. Heck, Nifong would be reelected tomorrow were he running.

Unflattering news is always released on Fridays to avoid scrutiny, or at least to avoid having to answer questions. The rape charges were dropped on the Friday before the Christmas holiday weekend.

This story has had AMAZING LEGS. We've been following this story for over 1 year and it still fascinates and I still wait with anticipation for the revelation. And the revelations rarely disappoint.

note they are releasing the report so it cant be easily summarized by the duke board...i wonder who decided to release it late on a friday...

Because Durham police played such a large role in Nifong's cold-blooded frame, why would anyone believe what Durham police say about themselves?

It will more than likely be rank amateurish "Durham Dribble"?

I suppose Chalmers was beamed down from his spaceship for a few days before he goes back into low earth orbit again(AWOL)!

I refuse to believe that the DPD is so dumb they haven't been running up huge legal bills already, preparing the finest CYA non-culpa essay the world has ever seen.

Of course, those bills will be dwarfed by the ones Duke must be paying in preparation for their justly deserved fallout from the last years PC festival.

Amazing how freely organizations can spend other people's money on lawyers when the concept of accountability can no longer be avoided.

Ya it was very interesting to say the least...

Bill Leslie reported earlier this morning on WRAL TV (Raleigh) news that the release of the expected DPD report will once again be delayed. It will NOT be released today, Friday, May 11th.

Surprise, surprise. Not.

People need to flyspeck this document to find evidence of Obstruction of Justice, and if there is evidence, package it neatly and send it to the U.S. attorney's office in Greensboro.

I am tired of the lies that we are seeing from Durham, and I think that every reader knows that this report is going to be an exercise in lies.

OK, folks, with the announcement of yet another delay, it looks like it has become a race of the unswift.

What will be the first to be published -- Lubiano's "forthcoming" book or the DPD song and dance?

So once again we join hands with the late Clara Peller and cry out "Where's the beef?"!

This report must really do a number on the DPD! Or they're having some problems phrasing things to minimize their exposure to litigation.

WORD TO THE WISE: Don't waste your time or energy - you are hanging out there without so much as a hint of BVDs!

WRAL.com is reporting it will be released at 4PM today.
