Nifong Hearing Tomorrow
The hearing to formally remove Mike Nifong as DA is scheduled for 9.30am tomorrow. Will Nifong show up? Capt. Bill Wrenn of the Durham County Sheriff's Office gave WRAL the following scoop: "Mr. Nifong's wife informed one of my officers earlier in the day that Mike had taken his guitar and left, and she didn't have any idea when he'd return."

I'm surprised you managed to post that without the now almost mandatory "you can't make this sh*t up".
Maybe he has taken up with Linwood's gospel singing group. Maybe they are practicing the song about barbecuing the billy goat.
Maybe he's gone over to Tara's
to sing her a sweet song.

Perhaps he's headed to Rhode Island to ask the Attorney General for a job in the railroading department. He'd fit right in.

Yea, can you believe it? In Rhode Island, some guy got indicted because a woman claimed he raped her 32 years ago. Supposedly that woman didn't tell anyone at the time, repressed her memory, remembered it 32 years later, and viola-the guy who is married with children got indicted.
The guy says they never had sex-doesn't matter. Indicted just the same.
I mean, maybe Nifong is heading to Rhode Island.
Send the Rhode Island prosecutor a link to KC's work or at least a picture of Nifong.
He'd better be able to play that guitar. If he can't, he'll think the Disciplinary Committee proceedings was a boy scout picnic compared to what the Music Police will subject him to.
I'm surprised nobody mentioned Rhode Island.
Don't worry about Mike, he's just out composing the "Crystal Gayle Disbarment Blues." I wouldn't be surprised if he started a new band with his buddy Linwood Wilson singing bass. They could call themselves the Duke DNA Duo.
It's a good thing I stopped saying "This couldn't get any stranger" six months ago because at this point we seem to be entering the Twilight Zone.

Maybe that explains the long fingernails on his right hand that Debrah asked about. Woo-hoo! If he picks and doesn't just strum then longer nails are needed for the picking hand.
Wonder if Mikey is pickin' and grinnin' right now? He might be able to put out his guitar case in downtown Durham for tips as he's a pickin'.
Maybe Linwood will give him a backup job. That Mikey is a groovin' man, I tell ya.

I agree with Mac. I think there's a real risk of suicide here. If his wife cared anything about him, she'd be filing a missing persons report. To not do so suggests she knows where he is.

Of course, this assumes there was actually a guitar in the case and not a passport, several thousand dollars is small, nonsequential bills, etc...

With all due respect to all, Mac at 9:25 pm brought up a good point. If this isn't a suicide issue, maybe he is out of state and thinking long term about extradition or something. Is there a legal eagle in the house who could comment?
This is going to be a real set back for the guitar being America's musical instrument of choice. I have this mental picture of guitarists all across our great land, laying their axes down and opting for a piano or saxophone instead. Bleak musical times ahead indeed. Just one more thing to thank Mikey for, the ruination of an American art form. Couldn't just say he went out for a couple of rocks or a sugar cube, could you Mrs. Nifong?

10:28 Have to agree with you - Sad to see posters, who came here for justice involving themselves in attacks, Really bad Karma. To many are rolling in the slop with Nifong. Posters justifying their bad acts by using Nifong's bad acts is a sorry excuse. "well Nifong did .." is not a reason for men/ladies of principle. Quess KC knows what he is doing ending the blog soon.

Nifong seems to me to be manic - the type of person that never gets depressed and is always optimistic. Like the good side of bipolar.
